Babul NGO is glad to institute an award in the memory of late K C V Subba Reddy garu. Award will be given to the winners of the annual Short Film Contest of Environmental films as part of BEFF Babul Eco Film Festival. The name of the award will be KCVSR Katikam Memorial Award.
Sri Katikam China Venkata Subba Reddy was born in 1933 at Koilkuntla, Kurnool Dist in a modest farming family. Though he received education and opted for government service, he was rooted to his agricultural background. He served in the Postal Department in various designations from 1951 to 1991. He was a hard worker and a guiding force to his colleagues. A strict disciplinarian, he lived by his principles and moral values. He motivated many on to the right path and his life continues to inspire us all. He lead a healthy and active life till 2011. He is survived by five sons and wife Smt. Naga Lakshmamma.
